At the 'Daegu Global Demo Day' held at the Daegu Creative Economy Innovation Center on the 9th, a representative from 'Catius' is presenting the product 'CATI'."We support the dreams and hopes of promising companies in Daegu. We hope to have shown our skills in the real Silicon Valley stage, considering this event as a 'rehearsal'."Before the event started, the CEO of Plug and Play (PNP) Korea, Jo Yong-jun, who attended the 'Daegu Global Demo Day' on the 9th, expressed his wish for the success of Daegu promising companies in overseas expansion."A total of 12 local companies participated in the 'Daegu Global Day' held for supporting global overseas expansion of Daegu companies. In the field of supporting global scale-ups of star companies (Daegu Techno Park), Catius, Daehyung Costec, IGIS Tech, C-Teachels, and Pia Space participated, while in the field of supporting global venture startups (Daegu Creative Economy Innovation Center), Cast, Huenet, Clouded, Doctortail, Vujen, Seaward, and Clebrain participated."These companies presented their company performance to PNP co-founder Jojo Flores, PNP Japan office head Ryo Naiki, and Korea Venture Capital Association's office director Seung-gon Park, among others. Catius, who opened the first presentation, showcased an AI toy 'CATI' that helps with language development for 2-5 year old children. It is a development product that allows for conversation up to 1-to-1 chatbot feature that answers questions posed by children. It features conversation topics on animals, seasons, quizzes, professions, and more. Especially notable is that despite being launched in the children's market just 6 months ago, its potential for growth is high enough to export 'CATI' to 15 countries."IGIS Tech introduced the space information-based drone platform 'DFOS'. Their main business is providing useful geographic information data for city planning and management through drones to consumers. The drone monitoring, unrestricted by weather and altitude, supports accurate and clean video information through a 360-degree panorama image, attracting attention. It is known that they are making efforts in safety prevention using drones in collaboration with Korea Forest Service and the Korean National Police Agency."Clebrain presented the music learning platform 'Piano Keys' that helps with sheet music learning in real time. The system recognizes music in the sheet music, embedding processes like sheet music practice and practice play. Currently, about 49,000 users have used (downloaded) Piano Keys. Clebrain's plan is to expand the business through collaboration with global creators. Furthermore, they will expand the platform's diversity through a business agreement with a piano manufacturer. Clebrain CEO Park Woong-chan mentioned, 'Next year, we aim for 90,000 users as a download target. Compared to competitors, we can utilize all sheet music in the music market and can even catch users' minor mistakes,' and expressed 'As a company composed of DGIST undergraduate students, we will expand the platform using differentiated technical capabilities with various musical instruments.'"Dr. Tail introduced an online veterinary consultation service platform that determines the need for pet treatment, and Seaweed presented 'Weldin', a cultured meat growing without slaughter based on seaweed engineering technology."Moreover, through the PNP evaluation held at the event, 5 out of 12 companies, including Daehyung Costec and Vujen, were selected, giving them the qualification to participate (investment briefing, networking, etc.) in the '2023 Plug and Play Silicon Valley Winter Summit' to be held in the United States next month.
