Battery management system specialist Hunate (CEO Kim Jae-goog) announced on the 24th that it was selected for SK Innovation's 'Egg' 4th batch. A total of 15 startups were selected for the 'Egg' 4th batch, including 6 carbon reduction and environmental technology companies, 5 resource circulation and supply chain companies, and 4 artificial intelligence (AI) and platform companies. This year, the selection was expanded to include areas such as low-carbon and resource circulation, environmental digital transformation, and ESG (environment, society, and governance) ecosystem construction. The technologies possessed by the 15 companies are highly related to the businesses promoted by SK Innovation affiliates, so it is expected that synergy can be created. Hunate plans to create a case of practicing ESG (environment, society, and governance) management through a mobile charger business based on reuse batteries. It is expected that in the future, the 'Egg' program will support the design of a collaboration model with SK Innovation affiliates and promote cooperation. Hunate recently held a pre-A investment round and is preparing to raise funds for mass production of products and securing engineers.
